We provide a clear path of progression for our members to develop their motorcycle racing skills through our wide variety of race classes.

New for 2022, we are excited to be co-hosting the Alberta Lightweight Supersport and Supermoto Provincial Championship together with the Edmonton Motorcycle Roadracing Association (EMRA).

FAQs

I’ve never raced before. Can I participate in an ARMA race?

Absolutely! We encourage you to come out to a Test & Tune first to get a chance riding the track, but our races are open to all those interested who have minimum basic motorcycle riding skills.

Do you have bikes available for rent during AMRA events?

Yes, we do. We have bikes available for free for youth on Test & Tunes and races days. We rent bikes to those 10 and older on track days. You can request bike rental when you register for an event. Rentals are available on a first come, first served basis.

I don’t know which classes I fit in. Is there someone I can ask?

Refer to the race classes page first. If you need more guidance, please reach out to us at info@amra.ca and we’ll help you find the appropriate classes.

Can I race in back-to-back classes?

Yes, you can. We do our best to organize the classes so that this doesn’t happen, but we may not be able to accommodate every rider. Before your first race, inform the track worker organizing the pre-grid so that they will know to wait for you for your second race. Go directly back to pre-grid after your first race. There won’t be time to return to the pits first.

What happens if it’s raining on a track or race day?

Our events typically run rain or shine. You’ll find the rules around dry and wet races in the AMRA Rule Book. If you are running slicks and the event organizers feel it’s unsafe to do so due to the conditions, you’ll be unable to participate until conditions become more suitable.

Can I use my own transponder?

Yes, you can as long as you have a MyLaps transponder with an up-to-date subscription. When you register for an AMRA event through MotorsportReg.com, enter in your transponder number, then confirm during event check-in that your transponder has been verified.
