Q-200 Machine Classes

a) Pocket Bike stock 40cc

b) Pocket Bike Open 50cc

c) Spec Supersport

Q-201 Machine Specifications

(a) Pocket Bike Stock 40cc

i. All spec bikes allowed (stock, no changes to how the bike was manufactured, tires and reeds being the exception).

ii. Chinese bikes can be modified with no restrictions except original engine cases and chassis to be retained.

(b) Pocket Bike Open 50cc

i. Limited to 50cc.

ii. No restrictions on modifications.

(c) Spec Supersport Class

i. Factory built; Engine capacity either maximum 50cc single cylinder liquid cooled 2 stroke or maximum 80cc single cylinder air cooled 2 stroke or maximum125cc single cylinder air cooled 4 stroke. Only OEM oversized piston sizes or equivalent permitted.

ii. Sportbike style frame only. No engine, chassis, carburetor or exhaust pipe modifications permitted. 10" to 17" wheel bikes allowed.

(d) Formula Supersport Class

i. Engine capacity either maximum 64cc single cylinder liquid cooled 2 stroke or maximum 150cc single cylinder air cooled 4 stroke.

ii. Sportbike style frame only. No restrictions on modifications. 10" to 17" wheel bikes allowed .

(e) Spec Thunder Class

i. Restricted to single cylinder up to 125cc 4 stroke motorcycles. All original equipment, manufacturer components and engines must be stock. Only OEM oversized piston sizes or equivalent permitted.

ii. The following modifications are permitted:

ii.1.1. Seat modifications

ii.1.2. The only suspension changes that are permitted are the installation of spacers/tubing, springs and fork oil to stiffen the suspension.

ii.1.3. External gear changes allowed

iii. The following aftermarket parts are permitted:

iii.1.1. D.O.T. tires on stock hubs and rims

iii. 1.3. Heavy duty spokes

(f) Formula Thunder Class

i. Engine capacity either maximum 150cc single cylinder air cooled 4 stroke or maximum 65cc liquid cooled 2 stroke.

ii. No restrictions on modifications.

iii. Must use approved D.O.T. tires, race compound tires or slicks.

iv. Must use motocross style frame.

(g) Motard Class

i. Engine capacity either maximum 85cc single cylinder 2 stroke or 150cc single cylinder liquid cooled 4 stroke or 200cc single cylinder air cooled 4 stroke. Only OEM oversized piston sizes or equivalent permitted.

ii. No engine modifications. Aftermarket pipe/silencer allowed.

iii. 17" wheel conversion with oversized brake rotor allowed

iv. External gear changes only

v. Must use motocross style frame

v. Stock suspension components with internal modifications allowed

vi. Must use approved D.O.T. tires, race compound tires or slicks.

(h) Formula GP

i. Engine capacity either maximum 93cc single cylinder 2 stroke or 150cc single cylinder liquid cooled 4 stroke or 200cc single cylinder air cooled 4 stroke.

ii. No restrictions on modifications.

iii. Must use approved D.O.T. tires, race compound tires or slicks.

Q-202 Licensing

a) Youth ages minimum 7 maximum 10. Maximum engine size limit 80cc and restricted to mini motorcycles only.

Age Definitions

a) Minimum age is based on the birthday of the rider.

b) Minimum age is 7 years old.

Race day track close time to be 6 pm

Pre-Registration opens (14) days before and closes (2) days before the race date.

A $25 discouragement fee will be charged for 'on race day' registration.

AMRA Calgary Test & Tune events (Wednesday evening)


Every Wednesday evening for Test and Tune events from 18 April to 22 August 2007 inclusive except (4) sessions allocated to Special Events - training etc.

Test and Tune start times to be adjusted forward to accommodate the earlier dusk times in the spring and late summer / fall to achieve the full 4 hour rental period.
